Cavity Waxing

Simpro is specialized in the design, manufacture and installation of automatic systems for spraying a protective substance within the car body cavities. Such a car body treatment, chosen by several car manufacturers, permits to increase the lifetime of those car parts more exposed to the corrosion risk, with a subsequent reduction of the overall noise level of the vehicle.

This system, turnkey supplied and manufactured according to the most advanced standards, provides a complete body treatment through the serial automatic introduction of nozzles specific for the car model to be treated. Where required, it can be enclosed in a suitable cell equipped with a ventilation system for fume extraction.

During the design phase, in close co-operation with the customer, Simpro examines the car body to be treated, performs spraying tests and takes pictures of the cavities so as to optimize the spreading of the protective film onto the walls and to define the most appropriate nozzle shape and groove.

Engineering

During the design phase, Simpro makes use of specific systems for tridimensional simulations (Catia, UG) with a view to developing a detailed study of the cavities around which the system will be structured.

The main purpose of this design stage is to reach the most adequate compromise between the best spraying of the parts to be treated (corresponding to the customer’s specifications) and the poorest quantity of substance being sprayed. In so doing, it is possible to ensure the best system efficiency and to minimize the costs of the customer’s production chain.

Complete Car Body

Simpro is specialized in the manufacture of waxing systems for the complete car body. Such systems are fully automated, capable of waxing the car body in just one cycle (in less than one minute) by ensuring a proper spraying and optimizing the nozzle quantity.

Engine Subframes

Simpro is specialized in the manufacture of waxing systems for the engine subframes. Such systems are fully automated, capable of waxing the subframe in just one cycle (in less than one minute) by ensuring a proper spraying and optimizing the nozzle quantity.

Manual Waxing

Simpro also manufactures waxing systems for low productions. Such systems, despite being more compact and characterized by lower design and production costs, ensure the same performance and efficiency results as the fully automated ones.

Pump Room

The wax applied into the cavities should be kept at a certain temperature, so that it can get cold and harden at room temperature to properly stick to the body parts.

Simpro supplies a system-integrated device for handling, pumping, filtering and conditioning the wax to be applied, so as to achieve the highest performance level in terms of efficacy and to ensure the most profitable relation between the amount of sprayed wax and a thorough wax application.

Masking

Unique in the world, Simpro has developed an innovative and fully automated system for protecting those car body parts that must be strictly kept wax free.

The so-called masking units are provided with specific pads designed with the plug-and-play system for an easy maintenance.

Nozzles

Simpro studies and develops every single nozzle according to the cavity configuration as well as to the type of wax or car body to be treated. Design engineers carry out theoretical simulations and practical tests to offer the best solution as to efficiency and productivity.

Each nozzle is designed to be fitted and unfitted using a plug-and-play technology for an easy maintenance and cleaning. This system also permits an easy replacement of the nozzles in case the production should be re-planned for different car models.

Fault Recovery

Where required, Simpro can integrate the main spraying system with a manual nozzle system to remedy any faults. In this case, a duly trained operator will apply the same wax amount onto the body portion in which the fault occurred. Wax metering is fully automatic in relation with the type of fault detected by the management software. Further, the operator will be provided with a monitor displaying the body portion to be treated manually.

When delivering the system, Simpro will guarantee an efficiency of 98% of the total production. For this reason, a lot of companies choose not to make use of this integration for manual fault recovery.
